Week 3

Craft: I was drinking some water and was making bubbles with a straw. I took a cup, poured in water, and grabbed a straw and starting making some bubbles.

Composition: I decided to do it in a clear cup so you can see the effects of blowing into a straw in water. It looks as if the water is going to blow up.

Concept: It it water moving around the cup bubbling. When you look at it, it can feel like your getting drawn in by the water and go for a swim or have a cup of bubbling water

Week 2

 CRAFT-I took this picture at a furniture store. I liked this scenario because it had many different textures.  I decided to arrange something together on this dining room table. The only thing on this table when I saw it was the plate and the vase, but they were in different positions. I added the leaves stands to it. I arranged these objects this way because I thought they were too far apart from each other in the first place and that just made it boring. 

COMPOSITION-By putting the vase in front I think I am controlling the viewers eye because they see the biggest object first, it has many colors and it shines so it really pops out. The objects make your eyes wander back and forth because there not in a symmetrical line so you examine every object carefully. So what this picture is exactly is just a vase, a plate but not just any ordinary plate you usually see, some leaves that are not green on a dining room table, and framed paintings on the wall that are not symmetrical. 

CONCEPT-What I think this scenario means is this is not your ordinary dining room table you'd expect to see in a home. When you go in a home you usually expect a dining room table to have either nothing or food on it. The plate on the table you think would be used to eat but instead it is being used here as decoration. So what I’m trying to say is everyone dining room table is different some to choose to eat on it as a family others just use their dining room tables as decoration to their homes and eat in the kitchen where they might have another table.

 

 

Introduction Week 1

My name is Nancy Torres. Im 18 years old. I attended Hubbard High School. I am currently a freshman at Saint Xavier University. My major is business and administration. I want to own my business but im not quite sure yet what kind. 

My Digital Imagery class seems very interesting, im sure I will learn a lot from it. I do like taking pictures, but mostly i like taking pictures of people and nature. Ive always wanted to own one of those really nice big and fancy cameras to capture really nice pictures, hopefully one day I do so my house can be full of photography.
